STARS is a dynamic educational company providing licensed academic teachers for young actors, recording artists and special projects.

Since the movie-making scene in the Northeast has been steadily growing over the past ten years, Boston is quickly becoming the next Hollywood.  With more and more films and performances in this region, the demand is increasing for licensed teachers and instructors to provide educational services for young talent under the age of eighteen years.

STARS provides a myriad of services that help young performers excel both academically and professionally. We facilitate the completion of paperwork required by movie studios and record companies in order to employ young performers. STARS obtains all necessary signatures and provides legal processing of such documents.  STARS is fluent with all of New England’s labor laws and statutes regarding child employment, especially regarding those for young talent.  We consistently watch out for each child’s well-being.

STARS’ teachers have open schedules which allow them to travel with clients as needed. Our wranglers (non-licensed teachers) also ensure smooth delivery of students from the set to the classroom and vice versa.  On-set classrooms are available for individuals and groups, as needed.

Students will receive up to five hours of tutoring per day, if necessary, in the core subjects of reading, mathematics, social studies and science. Optional elective classes are available upon request.

In addition, STARS offers home schooling for performers and families who prefer the individualized learning approach.  This includes private educational services for the children of those within the entertainment industry.

Language services are also available, either to learn a new language, enhance knowledge of an existing language, or to create or reduce accents.  STARS has instructors for actors in need of special skills such as swimming, ball throwing, and the like.
